Meadow Creek Reservoir
Meadow Creek Reservoir lies 30 minutes east of our lodge. The 12,000 foot peaks of the Rawah Wilderness appear to rise straight from the base of the lake. On windless days, the reflection of the snowcapped peaks on the water is awe-inspiring. This 250 acre lake is the second largest privately-owned lake in Colorado and access is limited to the 23 surrounding landowners. The incredible biomass; predominantly scuds, minnows, and crayfish, produces up to six inches of growth a year on the healthy rainbows. Quietly casting streamers, nymphs, terrestrials, or even mouse patterns from a comfortable drift boat, while pursuing these hogs, is a must-do for all who visit our ranch.
